The CFMOTO 250 Dual is scheduled to launch in Nepal on March 12, marking the brand’s entry into the lightweight dual-sport motorcycle segment.
Ahead of the launch, the motorcycle had already been spotted undergoing road testing in the country, suggesting that CFMOTO—through its authorized distributor Rishi Trade Centre—had been evaluating the bike under real-world riding conditions.
The arrival of the CFMOTO 250 Dual also signals a possible expansion of the brand’s lineup in Nepal beyond its current street-focused models. Dual-sport motorcycles have been drawing increasing interest among riders in the country who want a machine capable of handling daily commuting while still being usable on rougher terrain.

In terms of design, the CFMOTO 250 Dual follows the conventional layout of a dual-sport motorcycle, featuring a tall stance and an upright riding posture.
The front section adopts an angular fascia with a compact headlight assembly, paired with a raised front fender and extended fork guards—elements commonly associated with motorcycles designed to operate in dusty or uneven terrain.
The bodywork appears relatively slim and minimal, a layout often linked with improved maneuverability during off-road riding. A high-mounted exhaust system has also been observed, which is typically used on dual-sport models to provide additional clearance during water crossings or while navigating rough trails.

Mechanically, the CFMOTO 250 Dual is powered by a 249cc, liquid-cooled, single-cylinder engine, producing around 24 hp at 8000 rpm and 22.5 Nm of torque at 7000 rpm. The motorcycle features USD front forks and a rear monoshock suspension, offering approximately 160 mm of suspension travel.
The wheel setup includes a 21-inch front wheel and an 18-inch rear wheel, a configuration commonly used in dual-sport motorcycles to improve stability and handling on loose or uneven surfaces. The motorcycle also comes equipped with dual-channel ABS, full LED lighting, and compliance with Euro 5+ emission standards.

In terms of dimensions, the CFMOTO 250 Dual measures 2120 mm in length, 910 mm in width, and 1225 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 1415 mm. It features a seat height of 840 mm and a ground clearance of 245 mm, while the fuel tank capacity is 13 litres. The curb weight is reported at 154 kg.
Pricing for the CFMOTO 250 Dual is expected to be below Rs 6.50 lakh, though the official price will be confirmed at the time of launch.
